International Attendance Check - Notice for International Students only

Since the introduction of the UK Border Agency's Points based system in March 2009, it is a requirement of the University, as a Tier 4 Sponsor, to monitor and report the non-attendance of Tier 4 students. When enrolling at the Univeristy you agreed to attend in accordance with the University's attendance policy.

If you attended the Welcome Event, you will have recorded recorded your attendance by signing beside your name. You are now required to sign a weekly attendance check.

Your sign in day is every Tuesday between 10am and 12 noon at the Contact Desk, Ground Floor Peckham Road. You must present your Student ID when you sign in, without your ID card your attendance will not be recorded.

If you have a valid reason for missing the Sign in or you have a valid reason that means you will be unable to sign in during future weeks, you must email Tier4Compliance@arts.ac.uk and request an Apllication for Authorised Absence form.

Reference: Exam Board Information for Final Year MA Conservation EFT
Please find set out below the arrangements for notification of results and other exam board information.

1.Date of Exam Board
The exam board will be held on Wednesday, 12 June 2013.

2.Results Notification/Collection of Results
Your results letter and a breakdown of your unit marks will be available for collection between 10.00am and 12.00pm from the Ground Floor Meeting Room, Peckham Road on the following day only: Wednesday, 19th June 2013


Please bring your Student ID card as proof of identity. If you do not collect your letter during the above times, it will be sent to your permanent (not term-time) address by first class post. If you do not wish your results letter to be sent to your permanent address, please write/email the Student Administration team by Friday, 31 May 2013 at the address to the bottom of this letter, notifying them of your alternative postal address.

Pass Lists will be displayed on the Announcements page within your Academic Year 12/13 course Blackboard site by 12.00pm on the day of distribution of results. Your student ID card will be required to find your result, as these will be listed by ID number only and will not show your name. If your ID number does not appear on this Pass List, please contact the Student Administration team via the contact details at the bottom of this letter.

3.Debts/Outstanding Liabilities
In addition to achieving the required academic standard for the award, students are also required to meet all outstanding liabilities (debts) to the University of the Arts London by Friday, 24 May 2013. You must ensure that you have contacted the relevant department detailed below to ensure that any liabilities (examples shown below) have been cleared or that you have provided the appropriate paperwork as evidence of payment. All college equipment must also be returned to the appropriate department.

If you have outstanding liabilities (debts) at the time of the Exam Board, you will receive a notification letter of your result and a breakdown of unit marks, but you will not receive your Certificate or Transcript from the University until these debts have been cleared.

If you have not cleared all outstanding liabilities (debts) by 30 June 2013, you will not be eligible to attend the Graduation Ceremony this year.

4.Extenuating Circumstances
If there were Extenuating Circumstances affecting your performance this year and you have not done so already, please submit an Extenuating Circumstances form with supporting evidence to the Student Contact Desk, Peckham Road,no later than 2pm, Friday, 31 May 2013. (Please ensure you read the guidance notes attached to the form)

5.Appeals/Review of Exam Board Decision
If you think you have grounds for requesting a review of an exam board decision, you should complete Form A1, Student Request for Review of Exam Board Decision, which is available from the University’s Complaints & Appeals webpage: http://www.arts.ac.uk/appealing-exam-board-decision.htm

An overview of the University of Arts Appeals process is also included on the above link. You should email your form and any supporting evidence to appeals@arts.ac.uk within 10 working days of your results being published.
Alternatively you can post your form and evidence to: the University Appeals Unit, University of the Arts London, 272 High Holborn, London, WC1V 7EY.
